Attention Parents & Students
Currently, there is a glitch in the system that doesn't allow us to print schedules for second semester. The district is working to resolve this issue, but there's a chance that we will not be able to immediately provide a new copy of the schedule tomorrow.
Please take a moment this evening to help us out with this situation by trying one of the following:
1. Log in to Parent Portal at https://parentviewer.pisd.edu/. After logging in, scroll down to find the "Student Registration" box on the left side of the page. Select your student's name and then click "Show 2015-2016 Schedule."
OR
2. Have your student log in to MyPISD to find his or her schedule. He or she can find the new schedule by clicking "Schedule Summary" which is somewhere near "Grade Summary."
From there, the schedule may be printed or have your child take a picture with his/her device.
If there is an issue with either of these options, we will certainly work with your child tomorrow morning to make sure he or she arrives in the right classrooms throughout the day!
Thanks for your help with this matter!
Important PE Reminder!
In an effort to keep our students' belongings in PE “safe,” we are making some changes! Starting 2nd semester, ALL students enrolled in PE will need to provide their own locks for their PE lockers. Any standard lock will do-- just make sure your child is able to operate it! Once the semester is over, all locks will be going home!

We ask all Rice families to park in the south parking lot and enter the building from the South doors. You will be directed to the cafeteria for the meeting to start the evening.
This is an opportunity for parents and students to learn all about what you have to look forward to in high school. During this evening, parents and students will have a meeting to learn how to better help their student transition to high school. Parents and students will also be able to get familiar with the campus. While walking around the campus, you will be able to visit with curricular class teachers, student groups and organizations, purchase spirit wear, and visit with the different booster clubs and PTSA. We hope you will not miss this chance to get your high school career off to a great start!!
