Nutrition Services- Educational Benefits Income Form
We need your help to ensure adequate funding for our schools and students. The Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) now offers families simple, easy, and online access to complete the Education Benefits Income Form. When all families submit the form, RUSD can receive the maximum state funding and better meet each school’s and student’s needs in order to leverage additional services for all students. Without everyone's participation, schools may not receive all of the funding they are entitled to from the state, which would result in fewer services for our students and fewer tax dollars returning to our local community benefiting our students. Funding supports services for students, families and staff, including the following: Mental health and wellness services Middle and high school counseling Full-day Kindergarten Staff and parent education Academic Intervention programs and tutoring Technology for students English learner and translation services College & Career preparation Supports for Foster Youth and Homeless Students All families are asked to complete the Education Benefits Income Form as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, October 31, 2021. All information is completely confidential and will not be shared with any other organization or entity. Participation is critical to ensure our funding levels are not decreased for the current and future years. We can all take a couple of minutes to help ensure that RUSD receives the funding our students deserve. By completing the form, our students stand the chance of receiving valuable resources instead of having those funds go elsewhere. For the 2021-2022 school year and moving forward, this new online submission process will only take a few minutes to complete. Parents click here or visit RocklinUSD.org for easy access and submission. Rocklin Unified respectfully requests that all families take a few minutes to complete the form.
Celebrations and Costumes ~ Friday October 29
Halloween is coming soon and is on Sunday this year. At SRES, TK-6 students can wear simple costumes to school on Friday, October 29, if they choose to do so. Some fun activities are being planned for the day, however since this is a regular instructional day at school, students will be expected to fully participate in learning as well as P.E. and other routine school activities (such as being able to use the restroom independently).
Please follow these rules in regards to costumes:
Costumes should be simple. Please consider that allowing your child to wear his/her costume to school may result in parts being lost or damaged during regular school activities (recess, etc.). Please make sure costumes do not inhibit their ability to use the restroom.
Costume masks (other than our masks for health and safety) and full facial makeup should not be worn to school. If they are, they will need to be removed.
Positive costumes are encouraged. Students can not wear costumes that are violent or gruesome (containing fake blood, gore, etc). This is not appropriate for the school environment and may frighten our smallest Coyotes.
Fake weapons such as guns, swords, or daggers may not be brought to school. If students have inappropriate costumes or props, they will be confiscated and will need to be picked up by a parent from school administration.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. We are looking forward to a wonderful and safe celebration!
