What We're Learning
Math -For February we will work through Unit 6. The unit focuses mostly on strengthening division strategies and division number stories. We will review angles, symmetry, fraction addition and subtraction, etc.
Please practice basic math facts with your students.

Writing - Unit 4, opinion writing, in underway! Writers are beginning this unit with a review of opinion writing and by writing a short classical opinion piece. After that, students will write a literary essay based on one of 5 pieces of literature provided. Work on the literary essays should begin next week (weather willing!).

SeeSaw - going forward, all classroom communication will be sent through SeeSaw. My previous parent group through Outlook was deleted again, so, whomever you want to have access to our classroom communication will need to sign up using the See Saw link.
Also, student are loving getting to communicate with their peers through SeeSaw. Look for them to begin sharing their learning through SeeSaw soon!!
Thursday Folders - Make sure you are checking on a weekly basis and taking all graded work out.
Thursday folders are located in your student's 3 ring binder.

Students are loving getting to communicate with their peers through SeeSaw and sharing their learning with you!
Your child brings their 3-ring binder home daily. The binder holds their planner - please ask them about their day's lessons. The binder will also hold any homework they need to complete.
Thursday folder is located in your student's 3-ring binder.
Please encourage your student to read at least 20 minutes each evening.
