#STEINHAUER PROUD NEWSLETTER
2023 - 2024 EDITION: VOLUME 1
The first marking period has officially come to a close! It's hard to believe that we've already celebrated Thanksgiving and are moving into the second half of the holiday season! Your kids have gotten off to a great start participating in engaging lessons and activities in the classroom, joining some of our different clubs and activities, preparing to shine bright for the winter music concert, and competing against one another in friendly competition.
As we are now approaching the midway point of the second marking period, we continue to encourage your children to do their best each and everyday, and display our #SteinhauerProud Core values (Positive, Respectful, Open-Minded, Understanding, Determined).
We hope everyone has a Happy Holiday season, enjoys time with family and friends, and welcomes the year of 2024 with peace and love!

WHO'S GOT SCHOOL SPIRIT?!
STUDENTS REPRESENTING STUDENTS!
As our students continue to mature in preparation for middle school and high school, we want to ensure their voices matter. 5th and 6th grade students campaigned and put together amazing speeches to persuade their classmates in voting for them to represent the student body. After a tight race, congratulations to our Student Council Officials (President - Brian, Vice President - Caylie, Secretary - Georgia, Treasurer - Dean, and Sergeant at Arms - Brandon!
FAMILY FUN!
Our Student Council hosted our first family movie night of the year! Students and parents joined one another watching the Disney classic, Haunted Mansion, while enjoying some popcorn and snacks!
FRIENDLY COMPETITION!
Each month, homerooms participate in competitions to see who will bring home the grade level trophy! For the month of October, students were tasked with decorating a pumpkin. After all the amazing entries were submitted, our winning homerooms were Mrs. Schwartz and Mrs. Pizzo! Congratulations!
