Zoom Updates
To help prevent unwanted annotations and surprise whiteboard messages during meetings, we will be changing the following Zoom settings beginning on Wednesday, December 9. These settings will not be locked so can be modified in individual account settings. Please note that the Annotation and Whiteboard features are not available for students using a Chromebook.
Annotation: New default will be "Only the user who is sharing can annotate".
Whiteboard: New default will be "off" since we are unable to differentiate between host and participants.
Clever Updates
We are removing the Clever badge login option from the Chrometabs in an effort to make logins less frustrating and faster.
Starting tomorrow, students will need to login to their Chrometabs by clicking on the “add user” button at the login screen, entering their student email and password. Entering the email should be a one time event. Subsequent logins will only require the student password.
This does not remove Clever as the launching point and Single Sign On option from the Chromebtabs. Student home pages will still be set to the Clever Portal and will pop up automatically upon login.
