Phoenix Graduation
It is Time!
June 15 - June18
SAFETY
Safety is our top priority this week as we will have family of all ages coming to The Rock.
We will minimize staff contact and we have very carefully planned graduation in order to maximize safety for all. We want this event to be special for these great kids!
We will adhere to strict guidelines and ask families and graduates to provide and wear masks at all times while on campus. The exceptions will be for formal picture stations (see below).
We are also asking families to adhere closely to social distancing between families while on our campus. Floors and hallways will be clearly marked as recommendations and reminders.

If you are early or arrive outside of your timeslot you will be asked to remain in your car.
ATTENDEES
We have staffed our school and arranged to host five (5) family members per graduate in order to adhere to guidelines within our auditorium. Those these guidelines have recently changed, we will need to stay with these numbers as it allows us to safely account for staff and photographers in the room.
PARKING
We are asking all attendees to park in the A3 parking (in front of the flag poles and fine arts wing). We are requesting that you approach to building as a group and stay closely together as you approach a check point at the main doors.
ATTIRE
Students may decorate and personalize their caps (we ask that they remain appropriate) with messages, college aspirations, gratitude, etc. We recommend that students dress in lightweight attire, but have formal dress pants, dresses, shoes for pictures with their families. We strongly recommend minimizing bringing purses, backpacks, etc. to maximize safety.
PHOTO OPS!
Our professional photographer will take Auditorium stage photos and a family photo in our Black Box.
It appears that we will have great weather, so we will open our campus and have external photo ops for you and your families.
After your pictures, we ask that you continue off campus to celebrate further!
GRADUATION
Students will enter the Math Hallway at Door A7 and proceed with their parents and guests to the library where they will check in. Students will be provided a card with their name on it and they will confirm their timeslot. Students and parents will then leave the library and enter the auditorium. Students will enter the stage and parents and guests will be permitted to come to the front of the auditorium to take pictures. A professional photographer will also be stationed at the front of the auditorium.
Students will have their name called and come to center stage. They will receive their diploma cover, be permitted to remove their mask and take a picture with Mr. Duellman (with social distancing in place). They will turn their tassel and will officially be a graduate!
Pomp and Circumstance will play them off the stage and they will exit immediately through the fine arts door leading to the fine arts hallway. They will receive a white rose and enter the “Black Box” room where there will be another professional photographer who will take a family photo. All family parties may remove their masks for this photo.
Families and graduates will put their masks back on and proceed down the fine arts hallway toward the D9 exit. At the exit, they will receive a packet containing diploma and transcript information. Due to delays in finalized grading, diploma seals will be sent home in late June.
PHOTO STATIONS
Outside of school families may pose for pictures at several photo stations and/or the exterior fields at RRHS before departing. We ask that you leave campus as quickly as possible in order to minimize contact with families and/or staff.
