What's Happening!

Weather continues to call for school time adjustments as we close out the week. The THS Student Council teamed up with Umass-Lowell for a fundraiser and attended a UML Hockey game over the weekend. Students in Video Production have been hard at work and their projects can be found on the latest episode of We are THS. Please visit https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcPiobgC2Mk3xn1n64PZ3MA/featured to view the episode. As a reminder the college fair is scheduled for next Thursday where over 70 colleges/universities will be represented.

College deadlines are quickly approaching. Students should meet with their school counselors to discuss their future plans if they have not already done so. Congratulations to the seniors who have been accepted to college!

Make sure to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application if you have not already done so. This application can be found at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is the most important application in the financial aid process. All colleges and universities will require the FAFSA before determining a financial aid award. Colleges may also require students to complete a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (profileonline.collegeboard.org) and/or a college specific financial aid application. It is important to be aware of each college's financial aid deadlines - missing deadlines could result in missing out on financial aid. For more information on the financial aid process please visit mefa.org.

Middlesex Community College will host FAFSA Day, a free community workshop to help students and families fill out the 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the federally required application for financial aid. The workshop will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, on the Lowell campus, 33 Kearney Square.

FAFSA Day at Middlesex offers different options for families seeking assistance, including computer support, to complete the FAFSA online, as well as one-on-one assistance from financial aid experts. To register please go to FAFSADay.org.
