Resilience, Grit and PT Growth
Thursday, December 7 4:00 - 7:30 PM at Oakland Schools
Join for an evening exploring how to mediate the effects of trauma and stress
We have solid evidence that resilience allows us to bounce back and move forward after traumatic events. We also know that even if resilience levels are low, post-traumatic growth after the crisis can be the key to restoring well-being. Please join us for a session devoted to resilience. You will learn the terms grit, resilience, and post-traumatic growth and understand the controversy and the promise surrounding these terms. Using the latest research, we will explore the components of resilience and learn how to develop it in ourselves. You will also learn skills and strategies and receive several resources for helping our children/young people develop resilience.
