Benefield Parent Newsletter
February 2019
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Greetings BES Parents & Guardians-
It continues to be an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of such an exemplary and student-centered learning community.
Thank you for supporting our Digital Learning Day on January 29. Our next optional practice Digital Learning Day will take place on February 18, 2019. All students are encouraged to log onto eCLASS and complete one assignment from their teacher's page to make sure we are prepared for any future inclement weather days. Please let your child's teacher know if you do not have computer access so provisions can be made.
On Wednesday, February 20 and Thursday, February 21, students will be released from school at 12:20 p.m. Our school staff will be assisting with Parent/Teacher Conferences and will not be available to supervise children. Please be sure to make accommodations for your child.
Please keep reading to find out what is going on in and around Benefield.
Proud to be your principal,
Mrs. Stevens

Digital Learning Days
Digital Learning Days allow students to learn from home on inclement weather days. Benefield Elementary School prepares for Digital Learning Days with practice in school and at home. Already this year Benefield has had several practice days and one actual Digital Learning Day. Students go online to complete assignments and communicate with teachers remotely when questions arise or they need help. The system is set up so kids can use computers, tablets or smartphones. Students without devices and web access can make up the work when they return to school. For more information, go to;
