Shout Outs
Thanks for shouting it out for others! We appreciate you taking the time to name and notice all of the great actions occurring at our school. Let's keep the shout outs going! Click on the link below and shout it out! Diana Boor for being so quick with questions and suggestions for iStation!
Kristine Daniel- For continuing to help me grow as a teacher and for taking extra time to work with me on lessons. She goes above and beyond to make sure I understand each lesson and gives constructive feedback.
2nd grade team- taking on a canned food drive to help those in need while we support the community.
Shout out to our Inclusion Team for their faith and resilience in somehow finding time to serve our students despite crazy schedules. You are such a big asset to PCE and our students are blessed to have you!
To our MARVELOUS Lisa Stafford- Thank you for always being a pillar of support and generosity for all our students, parents, and staff. You are an amazingly beautiful lady and I'm truly better for knowing you!! You inspire me :)
Fourth Grade Teachers---this is the best team I've had the privilege to teach with! You make every day so much fun and I know I can always count on you !
I'm sending a shout out to our wonderful special education teachers and paras! They are always working to support the students based on what each individual student needs. They take amazing data, consult with staff on solutions, advocate for their students, and get creative to support their caseload. Thank you for making this a great place for our students!
Jennifer Mclarty- Your personality truly makes my day!! My students love your class and thanks to you they know how to draw (since I'm not the best teacher for that). You're a huge light to our school :)
Thank you to the gen ed inclusion teachers! Thanks for working with us and allowing us to be in your classroom everyday!
Lisa Stafford - for putting up with me everyday as I learn this new position. She has such a sweet spirit that shines everyday in everything she does!!!
Also to Mrs. Mead and Mrs. Mills for always seeing the good in me even when I fail. I could not be more blessed! Thank you so much for taking a chance on me!
Blane - for making me laugh every single day :)
Dana Juden- for being faithful to our students by supporting them in lunch bunch consistently and encouraging positive behavior daily.
Shout out to our specials team! This is the most selfless, giving team I've had the privilege to work with. They give their conference and lunch periods to work with students in clubs and other extra activities. They stay after school engaging and exciting students in their different disciplines. Their dedication and love of all of our Paloma Creek students is one of the things that makes our school so great. :)
Teacher of the Year Celebration
Please join us in the library at 3:10 on January 18th for our annual teacher of the year celebration. All teachers who were nominated will be presented with the 'wordle' created by our campus. This is such an awesome time for our teachers to be lifted with words and kindness by you!
Tips to Hit the Targets
- Post targets in kid friendly language.
- Restate the target a variety of ways throughout the learning cycle.
- Ask students to turn and talk and tell a learning partner what they're learning about and why or how it is important.
- Provide reflection time for students to write about what they learned, where they are as learners, and next steps they will take. (exit tickets, reflection journals, share out)
We look forward to being in your classrooms and talking to our Falcons about their learning. Thanks for all you do to keep the targets clear so that students know how to hit the bullseye.
