Principal Passage...

Colleagues,

Well it is upon us - Spring Break! Who knew I would be more excited about break in my 50's than when in college. The school year is traveling by quickly. I hope your spring break is full to the brim with your desires, whatever they be. I'll be traveling with Boyd for our 30th anniversary - looks like we made it:).

Be thinking ahead for the spring break shut down. The office will be closed, as all 12 month employees are away. Mrs. Williams, with Budd Services, will be working some should you need to get to a classroom. Hope you'll take a full break.

Check list for departure:

  • Close blinds
  • All equipment off - computers, projectors, coffee makers, copiers, printers, etc.
  • All critters go home with someone.
  • Double check doors
  • All trash emptied
  • Fridge food check
  • Lights off

The In and Out of Zone transfer period began on March 18th. Please encourage any residential students to enroll - especially kindergarten so that we account for their capacity prior to transfer applicants being assigned.

Student data cards
are due back to Terri on 4/15 (this is a change). For K-3, mark them with BOY, MOY and LPM (last progress monitoring) result. Notes of insight may be added as you see fit. We will use these cards to build next year's rosters.

Please invite Mikesell, Stern and me to be members of your Haiku digital learning platform - like you add students. As the site is our school-wide PDP goal, we'll want to take stock and schedule an additional refresher if you want. Let us know if you need support. We have not gotten many invitations so far, do add us.

Walkthrough Schedule

We have heard your feedback about how we unintentionally go into the same rooms some days. Here is a schedule which should address this issue.

Creasy Monday and Friday
Mikesell Tuesday and Thursday
Stern Wednesday

Bobby also does student observations so may be in on other days. We'll do our best to follow this schedule.

TWCS Deadline 3/25

Getting there...we are currently at 74% with 32 of 43 staff members responding. Hope you will take time to complete it if you haven't. See Shelia Hester if you need a code or have questions. Thanks, Shelia
