Stop Texting While Driving

It is a serious problem
Every year thousands of people die from car accidents caused by the driver paying more attention to their phone than the road. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, texting while driving kills 11 teens each day. Also, in a AAA pole, 94% of teens called texting and driving a serious threat, but 35% admitted to doing it anyway,
May 15, 2015 in the West Haven High School football field from 11 A.M. to 4 p.m.
This is the perfect place to hold this event. There is plenty of room to fit hundreds of people and it is an open area where everyone's opinions can be heard.
The biggest risks...
Hitting someone
While you are texting and driving, you are completely oblivious to everything going on around you.
It is against the law
Even though there may not be cops around, you still shouldn't text and drive. It is a law that it is illegal to text and drive. And they made that law for a reason...
You can cause a car accident
While texting at the wheel, you are putting your life and other people's at risk. It only takes a split second for an accident to happen.
