Well the weather has shown us it is officially fall. With November being the month of giving thanks, I would like to take the opportunity to provide a heart felt thank you to all of our parents for everything you do for our school community. Your unwavering support and dedication to your child's education are truly commendable.

As parents, you play a vital role in shaping the future of our students. Your involvement in their academic journey, whether it be through attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering at school events, or simply providing a nurturing environment at home, has a profound impact on their growth and development.

We understand the challenges that come with balancing work, family, and other responsibilities. Yet, despite these demands, you consistently prioritize your child's education and well-being.

Your active participation in our school activities and events creates a vibrant and inclusive community. Whether it's cheering on our students at sporting events, supporting their artistic endeavors, or attending parent meetings, your presence and engagement make a significant difference.

We also appreciate the trust you place in our educators and staff. Your confidence in our abilities motivates us to continually strive for excellence in providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment for your children.

Linden Middle School has been participating in Michigan's Promoting Positive School Climate project to enhance positive behavior in our school. This survey helps identify the school climate issues within our school. Please check your email for recent information, including the Student Opt Out form and the questions found on the Student Survey. The Opt Out form is due in the LMS main office by Friday, November 10.

The Student, Parent, and Staff survey will be open from November 13 - November 17. I will send out links for the Parent and Staff surveys on Monday November 13th in an email. Students will take the survey in their Eagle time.

LMS will be participating in the Stuff the Bus Community Food Share Program with the winning class in each grade receiving a prize! We are running this competition between Eagle Time classes. Items will be collected November 13 through November 17. Thank you in advance for supporting our community!

Hello LMS Families,

We will be having our 2nd round of class meetings this week. These class meetings are designed to remind our students of our expectations, communicate discipline referrals that have happened, and to promote positive behaviors throughout the school day. We will be informing the students of the Zero Referral Club, which will include the students who have not been in trouble at all getting a reward of some sort. This reward will differ as we go through the school year.

Please continue to remind your students and have conversations about appropriate behaviors. Do not ignore the fact that middle school students will sometimes press the limits and we will handle inappropriate behavior accordingly. I want to stress we have a no cell phone policy, this includes in the bathrooms and locker rooms. If students take a video, or have a video of inappropriate behavior, they will be handled according to our student handbook as well.

I look forward to coming up with different activities for the students who have zero referrals. A lot of the times the students who do what they are supposed to daily, are unfortunately forgotten because they fly under the radar. We want to address those students being awesome!
