February 2017

Principal's Message

Dear KWES Families,

I hope all is well and wish you a caring February filled with warmth and kindness! Thank you so much for all your input on our school's vision and mission. If you have not sent back your suggestions, please do so as soon as possible. It's imperative that before we determine our school's vision and mission all stakeholders have input in the decision-making process. When all the final suggestions are made, we will send out notification to you about our final collaborative school vision and mission.

We have a wonderful event coming up on Thursday, February 16th from 6:30-8:30. All students and parents are welcome! Our staff has a great night planned for you with vendors and activities. Please plan to stop by for the fun!!! Keep having those pledges roll in so that we can donate a lot to Jump Rope for Heart.

If you are at Kyle Wilson ES on a transfer, please complete a new transfer request for the 2017-18 school year. Transfer request must be completed each year. They are not guaranteed and are dependent on space. If you are planning to transfer to a new school next year, please make sure that you have those submitted to Ms. Norwood by April 1st. The sooner you get them in the better.

Have you met our Security Resident, Ms. Angela Cabell?

Ms. Cabell is our security resident who lives in the apartment attached to our building. Her main focus it to ensure that our school is safe inside and out. You will see her walking around the building at night and early each morning, so please do not be alarmed. She has reported many teenagers walking through our school to the soccer fields. Please make sure that if you have a teenager they are not allowed on the property at any time. Thank you for your support in keeping our school safe at all times!
