All are invited to attend tonight's Board of Education meeting where Superintendent Scott Feder and Business Administrator David Pawlowski will be giving a thorough and detailed breakdown of the 2023-2024 School Budget. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, please be sure to view the meeting through our website as meetings are streamed live and can be accessed prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org. As was shared in Scott Feder's communication of March 3rd, our State Aid has been cut by another $4,000,000 for the upcoming school year. (March 3rd communication)

We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.

There will also be Part I of the National Merit Commended Student Recognition on this evening. We hope to see you then.

Earlier this year, we distributed the Annual Assessment Notification about standardized testing in our district. It included testing windows, but it was too early to share specific dates. We wanted to ensure all families had the most current Elementary NJSLA Calendar 2023 and the Middle/High School NJSLA Calendar 2023. As we get closer to May, your child's school will share additional information with you.

The Cougar Council of Cambridge School recently held a newspaper drive to benefit the cats at Second Chance For Animals in nearby Franklin. 153 pounds of newspaper was collected and student representatives sorted and packed the paper for the shelter. The two representatives pictured, delivered the newspaper this past weekend and were able to go on a tour of the facility and learn more about the work they do at the shelter.
