BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - TONIGHT, THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 2023
All are invited to attend tonight's Board of Education meeting where Superintendent Scott Feder and Business Administrator David Pawlowski will be giving a thorough and detailed breakdown of the 2023-2024 School Budget. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, please be sure to view the meeting through our website as meetings are streamed live and can be accessed prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org. As was shared in Scott Feder's communication of March 3rd, our State Aid has been cut by another $4,000,000 for the upcoming school year. (March 3rd communication)
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
There will also be Part I of the National Merit Commended Student Recognition on this evening. We hope to see you then.

EDUCATOR AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION PROGRAM
Please click here for information on our Educator and Educational Support Person of the Year Recognition Program. Our educators and educational support people are our silver linings and we hope you will consider celebrating one (or more!) of our faculty with a nomination letter. Educators include content/grade-level teachers, special education teachers, and all educational specialists. Educational Support People include secretaries, custodians, bus drivers and paraprofessionals.

South Brunswick Parks & Recreation announces their summer camp program “SUMMER PARKS 2023” at Woodlot Park. SBHS Robotics Team Update
Our Robotics Team had a very successful season! We are excited to share that at the State Championships this past Saturday all 6 of our teams (teams 750- S,B,C,R,E,W) competed at the states tournament, 5 of which made to quarter finals, 2 to semifinals and one team (750 B) made it all the way to the final match qualifying them to the VRC Worlds championship to be held in Dallas from April 24th to 27th. The same team ranked first place in NJ with their top skills score ( 58th out of 20,000 - top 0.29% in the world)! The closest second team was very far behind. This feat double-qualified this team to the worlds! Congratulations to all of our teams on this wonderful season!
