Academic MESAC Meet a Success!
This was the largest MESAC meet of the year. There was a lot of tough competition and Tejeda finished 3rd. 8th grader Ammar Thayani finished 2nd in over-all points and received a $150 gift card. Our last qualifying meet is Saturday, March 4th at Garner Middle School. The TMSCA state meet is April 22nd at UTSA. Here are the 1st-3rd place results of yesterday’s meet:

In addition to the students who qualified for TMSCA State last week, yesterday 6th grader Max Wildt qualified for science and 6th grader Jaxson Bartolini qualified in math.

The Tejeda UIL academic team competed in the first of three TMSCA (Texas Math and Science Coaches Association) qualifying meets, held at Eisenhower on Saturday, February 18. We had a number of medal-winners and took home the 2nd place overall trophy. Additionally, we had 12 students qualify for the state TMSCA competition held at UTSA on Saturday, April 22. FCA at Johnson HS
Dear Tejeda Athletes and Parents,
On Monday, Feb 27th FCA will be held at Johnson High School in the cafeteria from 7:00 - 8:15 pm. The speaker will be Rich Garza, San Antonio Spurs Chaplain
We will serve pizza. We ask each athlete to bring $2 to help cover the cost.

Johnson Student Selected for Mayor's Fitness Council
A CTJ student, Bianca Gaytan, has been selected as a community representative of The Mayor's Fitness Council. As a member of this council, Ms. Gaytan is responsible for encouraging healthy lifestyles within our community. As part of her initiatives, Ms. Gaytan has created a news flyer called Healthy Jaguars that is filled with ideas and tips on how to remain healthy.
I have attached her flyer and encourage you to read and take advantage of the information contained in the Healthy Jaguars.
