All About Me!

Mrs. Wallace

The Wallace Family

My family and I live in Sterling, MA. My husband Craig is a research scientist at a local pharmaceutical company. Ian, my 19-year-old, just finished his freshman year at Elon. Jared, my 16-year-old, is a sophomore at Wachusett Regional High School. Gianna, my 11-year-old, is a fifth-grade student at Chocksett Middle School.

My family loves sports and camping in Vermont. We often truck north to unplug and relax.

The Love of Teaching

It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself to you as the newly appointed Principal of Dawson. I have over two decades educational experience spanning grades K-5 with a particular concentration in early childhood education, special education, and instructional technology. My most recent administrative experience has been shaped by six years as an elementary Assistant Principal and Special Education Team Chairperson in West Boylston, MA, and Groton, MA. I am elated to bring my skills as an instructional leader to your educational community.

I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Dawson by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.

I anticipate a successful 2018-2019 year in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of the children here at Dawson. During next year, we will work together to provide the students the best possible opportunities as stated in our school vision. As the Principal, my door is always open, and I welcome your input.

The following quote serves as my inspiration for celebrating our work with children.

Angela Schwindt: “While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”

Melissa Wallace, Principal

A principal who is passionate about children. Children need a cheerleader who acknowledges their value, worth, and spirit.
