Would you like to serve on this year's Site Based Committee?
The purpose of the Stony Point High School Site Based Advisory Committee is to ensure coordination off site needs, measure and report progress, and facilitate special interest committees for student achievement and campus enrichment. According to the Texas Education Code, each campus must have a planning and decision making committee.
There will be a total of 3 meetings all year on campus and they last about an hour. Meeting dates will be scheduled at a later time. If you would like to serve on the committee, please complete this form:
Student drop-off and pick-up locations
Parents, all of our systems are designed around the safety of our students and we thank you in advance for supporting us by following them. Please remember that buses load and unload students directly in front of the school. Therefore, the front of the school is closed off to visitors/parents starting at 8:40am to 9:05am and from 3:55pm to 4:35pm to allow buses to line up. Please do not drop off /pick up your student in front of the school during these times and use the student drop off area on the football side.
Parents/visitors needing to come inside the campus during that time will need to park in the west parking lot of the school (near the football field) and walk around to the front as all visitors still need to check in at the front office.
*If you are leaving the school during the time the buses are in front, buses are given the priority and all other vehicles are to wait until buses have exited the lot. *It is unlawful to pass a school bus that either has red blinking lights and/or it’s STOP sign out. To do so puts student’s in harms way.
*If you need to leave the campus between the hours the buses are out front, we strongly recommend you park in the Faculty parking lot on the southwest to avoid having to wait for buses when you need to leave.
When exiting our campus before and after school from the football field, please turn RIGHT only. Some cars continue to turn left and it is delaying the flow of traffic tremendously.
If you are picking up your student from school, here's the 411 to make your life easier!
- Send a signed note with your student indicating what time they will be picked up. Have them bring the note to the front office BEFORE SCHOOL to obtain a pass from class. They'll be waiting for you in the office when you arrive. (Optional form is attached for your convenience.)
- Car traffic is not allowed while the buses are out front. Pick up before 3:55 pm.
- ONLY those individuals listed on your student's file, with photo ID, will be permitted to sign them out of school. Phone calls and email requests will not be accepted. Prepare now by coming in person with photo ID to add authorized adults to pick up your student. See Mrs. Arzola or Mrs. Gamboa to add authorized adults.
- If your student is driving, then still send a note but be specific in stating that you give them "permission to drive themselves off campus". List your phone number so that we can call you to verify. Have them come by the office before school for a pass.
Parents, please remind your students...
Food deliveries of any kind are NOT permitted. Grub Hub, Uber Eats, etc. will be turned away. We are a closed campus. For the safety of our students, delivery drivers are not permitted contact with them at side doors or portable buildings. If an authorized adult on your student's list wants to bring them food, they may meet in the front office during your student's scheduled lunch time or during passing period. Money can be added to your students lunch account by accessing www.myschoolbucks.com You can also view balances and track cafeteria purchases. Thank you for your continued understanding and support!
