What Day Is It?
Help Keep Us Playing!
- Spectators, audiences, fans and media are required to wear face coverings as described in Executive Order GA-29.
- Groups should maintain at least six feet of distance from other groups at all times, including the process of admission and seating. A group is defined as no more than 10 people including the members of the household and those persons who traveled together to the facility.
UIL is very serious about these guidelines, and if we want to continue to play sports this year, we must take these to heart. Photos from different schools not following this guidance have already been circulating, which puts all of our programs at risk.
Please make sure to wear a mask at all times and respect social distancing.

LV Volleyball vs Comfort
Our volleyball teams competed against Comfort on Monday. Below you will find the results for our teams:
8 Blue:
Our Blue team had a fantastic game and came out on top in 2 sets at 25-10 and 25-12, giving them a 3-0 record thus far. Our leading servers were Claire Brumfield with a whopping 24 serves, Emma Prestage with 10 serves and Paige Parsons with 6 serves. This team has grown significantly from last year on the court. Their serves are definitely leading them during each match, they come with such force that they have proven difficult to return. They are happy about it but selfishly crave more action on the court! I am very proud of them and their efforts! Next week we will travel to Llano Monday for their first away game this season. Also contributing to our team win were: Stella Gjelaj, Bella Adams, Mia Garcia, Alexia Parker, Lindsay Sanders and Mya Barron.
8 Gold:
Our 8th grade Gold Team is off to a great start so far. We are currently 3-0 in district play. Monday night we competed against Comfort. The 8 Gold team won in 2 sets, 25-11 and 25-16. Our leading servers were Melanie Sansom and Madison Kassell, both with 8 serves. Amelia Robinson led the team with 5 attacks at the net, and Mikayla Vasquez led the team with 9 passes. Also contributing to the win was Kanon Yetley, Emily Jungman, Sydney Hiebert, Lana Spedale, and Hanna Simmons. We will travel to Llano on Monday for our first away game.
7 Blue:
Our Blue team overcame a faster paced game against Comfort this past Monday! The girls won in 2 sets at 25-22 and 25-14, giving them a 2-1 record thus far. Our leading servers were Macy Thompson, Carli Parker and Josie Oatman. This group of girls are working so hard. They have a great attitude and willingness to learn! The past few games have been a serving game so when Comfort started returning the ball on Monday it was a new challenge for them! They have, however, dramatically improved on their serves as a team overall! They did great to get a first or even second pass but struggle to get that third back over the net. They have come a very long way in a short amount of time from letting the ball hit the floor to now getting 2 passes and I am very proud of them! Also contributing to our victory were: Lilah Smith, Milele McBride, Marlie Hawkins, Hannah Hood and Tori Lee.
7 Gold:
The 7 Gold team won their match vs the Comfort Lady Deer this past Monday night in 2 sets 25-12, 25 - 15. This improved the Gold teams record to 2-1 on the young season. Our setters Jaedyn Hylander and Avi Ramirez led the way with an outstanding effort from behind the service line. Avi ran had a streak of 10+ points at a time. Great defensive efforts were provided by Makenna Fiscus, Haley Wray, Ania Saldana, Camilla Cardenas, Maddi Salazar, and Makenzie Koska . Caeley Carmack, Allisen Shipp took great swings provided by setters Jaedyn Hylander and Avi Ramirez, The ladies showed great improvement from their previous match by repeatedly setting the ball up for spikes throughout the match. The ladies are doing a great job of progressing in their understanding of playing volleyball.
