La Mesa Update
January 15, 2022
Hello La Mesa Families,
While absences have been up for both students and staff, we are holding on. At this time we do not anticipate any move to remote learning. We are so proud of our students for following masking expectations and for families for keeping sick students home. We will get through this difficult time together.
This month we are focusing on the "H" in HOWL, which stands for Honoring Integrity. This is a great opportunity to talk about character traits such as honesty, kindness, respect, and compassion. We thank you for your ongoing support as we work together to develop students and create a positive learning community at La Mesa.
Sincerely,
Michele Krantz, principal

What to Do if Your Child is Absent
If your child will be absent, please be sure to contact our Attendance Tech Mirna Hernandez mhernandez@hartdsitrict.org.
Have your child check in to their Google Classroom links to keep up on work. Our teachers are working to hard to keep Google Classroom up to date to ensure students who have to be home for quarantine or other reasons, from falling behind. All teachers have gone over with their classes how to login. They should contact their teacher with any questions.
If your child tests positive for COVID, please contact us immediately. If they have been at school, we must contact trace to ensure everyone connected is properly informed.
We will be doing everything required of us to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
