MARSHFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Superintendent's Corner, December 24, 2022 #bettertogether
EDUCATORS OF THE WEEK
This week's Educators of the Week are Principal William Campia and Principal Robert Keuther. These two dedicated educational leaders have recently announced that they will be retiring in 2023 and we cannot thank them enough for all they have done for the Marshfield Public Schools.
Mr. Campia has been an educator for 49 years. He joined the team at MPSD in 1996 and after serving as the District's Director of Pupil Personnel Services for three years, he became the Principal at the Eames Way School in 1999. He has led with a kind heart, high expectations for student & staff, along with making sure "all means all" when addressing the needs of every child.
Mr. Keuther joined the District 2004 after serving as a teacher and Principal in the Quincy Public Schools. During his tenure at the MHS, he was tireless in supporting all things Marshfield. He truly "bleeds green" and is the consummate supporter of every MHS student, club or team. He has a big heart and a vision that embodies the spirit of "We Are Marshfield".
Both of these gentlemen have cared greatly for the Marshfield Public Schools and they worked tirelessly to ensure their schools met the needs of every student and staff member. We are fortunate to have had Mr. Campia & Mr. Keuther on our team and we thank them for their service to the Marshfield learning community. #bettertogether.
THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING 2022
2022 was quite a year for the MPSD. Education in Marshfield, and in districts around the country, had a myriad of twists and turns this year but our students and staff stayed focused and worked to achieve success in and out of the classroom. Our students and staff continually rose to the challenges placed before them and we continued to grow as a district.
We thank you every day for allowing our team to educate your children. The staff in Marshfield is second to none and they worked to meet the needs of each and every student on a daily basis, regardless of what learning environment we were in.
On a personal note, I want to thank you all for the support you provided me when I had some health challenges earlier in the year. I am truly blessed to be able to do this job and to work in such a caring community.
Our mission statement calls for the MPSD to “provide a safe, healthy, and collaborative learning environment that fosters respect and responsibility, empowering all to achieve their maximum potential.” Throughout 2022, all of our educational and community stakeholders worked together to ensure we lived up to this expectation. This year proved that we are indeed #bettertogether.
Thank you all and we hope you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a very Happy & Healthy New Year.
