Slovakia
History
Slovakia was created at 450 BCE. Slovakia was once apart of The Kingdom of Hungary when it was bonded together with Czech, the country was called Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia existed between the years 1918 to 1992 and was peacefully split into two countries on January 1, 1993. The separated countries were named Slovakia and Czech Republic. Slovakia became a member of the European Union on May 1, 2004.
Geography
Slovakia is a landlocked country. It is surrounded by Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, Austria to the southwest, and Czech Republic to the northwest. Slovakia contains the highest point of the Carpathian Mountains. The point is called Gerlachovsky stit.
Flag
The modern Slovakian flag was established on September 3, 1992. The flag contains the colors white, blue, and red and has Slovakia's coat of arms. The coat of arms is a white double-barred cross with three blue hills and a red background.

Spis Castle
Spis Castle is one of the large castles in Slovakia is a popular attraction due to its age and history. The castle was built in the 12th century (1101-1200 CE) and was used as a movie set for Dragonheart and The Last Legion.
High Tatras
The High Tatras are one of Slovakia's national parks. They have exotic plants and animals, large bodies of water, and majestic mountains.
Dobsinska Ice Cave
The Dobsinska Ice Cave is one of the most famous ice caves in the world due to it's emaculate ice formations. The cave has columns, stalagmites, and waterfalls of ice.
