HEALTH OFFICE UPDATE
***Changes for sports***
As mentioned in the fall sports parent meeting, there is a COVID-19 Return to Play protocol that went into effect October 19th, for positive COVID-19 athletes. A detailed email will be sent to HS students and parents/guardians.
Please reach out to me, Anne Grahn District Nurse and Covid-19 Coordinator for any questions. Thank you for your continued help during this pandemic. We are all in this together!! Please continue to wear a mask in public, wash your hands, and keep 6 feet away from others!
WINTER SPORTS MEETING
The Mora Athletic Department announces that the PARENT MEETING for students grades 7-12 planning on participating in a winter sport will need to view the presentation online. The presentation will be available on November 16th at 4:00 pm. You can find the Activity Meeting on the school website moraschools.org under the Activities tab. This is an important meeting as all of the mandatory paperwork must be completed and fees paid before the first day of practice. If you cannot complete paperwork online, forms will be available in the district office for your student to pick up.
If you need help with online payments or completion of forms or to check the status of the student's sports physical, contact Aimee Moske at 320-679-6200 or Kris Osterdyk, Activities Director.
AFTER SCHOOL INTERNET RESOURCE
As of Tuesday, September 29th, the Mora Public Library opened up the community room as a safe space for students to use our WiFi to complete their homework. For the time being, this space will only be available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00-6:00 pm, but we are hopeful that we will expand those hours as the need arises.
The community room is located on the library’s lower level and is large enough to easily allow for social distancing for 20-25 students. It will be supervised by a library staff member and/or volunteer who has undergone ECRL’s background check procedures. Unfortunately, due to library COVID-19 policies, students will be limited to 1 hour in the library, but we are hopeful that even a limited time frame will still be helpful for students.
FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR STUDENTS!
