Lexia Core 5
All Grange Hall students in grades K-5, will be using Lexia Core 5 this year. If your child has not taken the placement assessment in Lexia, please have them complete that as soon as possible. Your child's teacher will be assigning Lexia as an independent activity for students to complete daily (both hybrid and virtual).
In addition, we are excited to announce that Chesterfield County Public Schools will be expanding Lexia Core5 to enhance the current levels of student engagement and literacy development. The software upgrade will take place the weekend of November 14-15, to be accessed starting Monday, November 16th. We expect student Chromebooks to support the upgrade; however, if students are accessing Lexia Core 5 from older, unsupported home devices, (such as an iPad that does not run iOS 10 or higher), or using older versions of browsers, they could experience a problem accessing Lexia. In most cases, issues on home devices should be able to be resolved by updating to the latest version of browsers and/or operating systems. If your child experiences a problem accessing Lexia, please contact Keith Baldwin, instructional designer, at 804-739-6265

CCPS Update - Student Self-Assessment
Team Chesterfield families,
As we approach the return of a second cohort of students, we wanted to provide a reminder about the important role that students and families play in helping our schools maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of exposure to other students and staff members, Chesterfield County Public Schools asks families to make sure that students perform a daily self-assessment of their health before leaving for school.
Students must not go to school if they are sick or answer yes to any of the questions on the attached document. Parents should seek guidance from their child’s health provider if the student answers yes to two or more questions or has a temperature of 100.4 degrees F or higher.
By reporting to their school, a student is attesting that they have answered NO to the questions listed on the self-assessment. (As a condition of their employment, school division staff members are required to conduct the same self-assessment.)
Thank you for helping us maintain in-person learning environments that are safe and healthy for our students and staff members!
