The Rape Aggression Defense course is being offered to all women affiliated with Worcester State University. This is a four session program; attendees should plan on attending all four sessions to complete the class. The course includes lecture, discussion and hands on self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities.This class will be offered from 6-9pm in the Blue Lounge on the following dates, Wednesdays February 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th

Learn to Meditate from Visiting Tibetan Buddhist Monks and Nuns

Travel with the Chorale to Ireland this May

The WSU Chorale is traveling to Ireland this May 20-27, 2019 on concert tour, and the trip is open to other students as well. The trip will feature many wonderful sights like the set of the Game of Thrones and the shipyard where the Titanic was built. We will be touring Dublin, Belfast and Derry, among others.

WSU French Club Trip to Montreal Enrollment

WSU's French Club invites you to participate in the trip to Montreal that we have organized for May 24th through May 26th, 2019.

-We're very excited to be able to offer this trip with a stimulating itinerary! Our private tour bus will depart early from Worcester State University on Friday and return to Worcester State University Sunday afternoon.
-Anyone from the WSU community with a valid passport may join the tour, and invite friends and family members who are 18 years old or older to enroll.
-The price of the trip ranges from $520 - 690 depending on the number of people.

On Campus Community Engagement

We have an opportunity to work with South high school students doing college-preparation on campus, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:45 - 4:00 for a 10 week period, beginning in early February. There is a small stipend associated with this.

2019 Celebration of Scholarship and Creativity and 2019 MA Undergrad Research Conference

Share Your Scholarly Research and Creative Work!

If you have a project you have been working with a professor on, are doing a capstone project, or have some other exciting research, creative, or civic engagement project, then these are two great opportunities this spring to showcase your work.

-The WSU Celebration of Scholarship and Creativity is scheduled for April 17, 2019 and open to both graduate and undergraduate students.

-The Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference will take place at UMass-Amherst on April 26, 2019.

The registration deadline for the WSU Celebration is 3 pm on March 1, 2019, and the deadline for the MA Undergraduate Research Conference is 11:59 pm on February 15, 2019.
