La Costa Meadows Elementary School
Weekly Dolphin Blast
Week of January 15, 2023
We loved having our students back on campus this past week! The stories they shared about their winter break adventures have been fun to listen to and it sounds like a number of our LCM families took impromptu road trips to get home, as a result of flight cancellations. I'd say there were many memories made... planned and unplanned!
We've had some pretty rainy days and with more rain likely in the coming weeks, I'd like to encourage families to make sure that their child's school Chromebook is protected in some way inside their child's backpack. Large ziplock or plastic grocery bags work great!
As we kick off this new week, I'd like to ask for our community's help in the lower lot. Mr. Mike, our lead custodian, places cones in the lower lot each morning that divert traffic around the parking lot. We do this to help out our residential neighbors and the City by getting more vehicles off of El Fuerte when they are in the cue line for drop off. Unfortunately, our cones and signs have been run over multiple times and the damage is really starting to show. Please ensure that when entering the lower lot in the morning that the directed path of travel is followed. Thank you for your support with this matter!
While this week will be a short one, it will also be a busy one filled with fun and learning!
With Dolphin pride,
Mrs. Bedard
