I Remember When...
there were no die cut machines or laminators in schools. I made learning centers from homemade poster board patterns; traced the shapes on construction paper as close together as possible to save paper; used scissors to cut out the shapes; placed the cutouts between two sheets of clear contact paper; covered with a handkerchief to iron and seal the contact paper; and cut out the shapes again with scissors. Time consuming, but durable – they lasted many years!

Thought for the Week:
Knowledge is of two kinds: we know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it. - Samuel Johnson (1775)

WESTPORT CELEBRATIONS!

Mrs. Elwood's 1st Graders did a fantastic job presenting "Sitting Around the Campfire." The house was packed with proud parents, relatives and friends! Kids were beaming with joy as they rocked the house.
