Tues., Jan. 11th: Crutchfield, Dillingham & Neblett 5th grade students will be visiting SMS for a rising 6th grade Fine Arts & Athletics showcase & campus tour!

Thurs., Jan. 13th: BASKETBALL Games: 5:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. Girl's Basketball vs. Southard Middle School Princeton - HOME @ SMS & Boy's Basketball vs. Southard Middle School Princton - AWAY.


Sat., Jan.15th: Girl's Basketball Tournament in Celina

PTA Reflections - I WILL CHANGE THE WORLD BY

The 2021–2022 Reflections theme is I Will Change the World By…

SMS students submited their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. SMS PTA had judges judge the different enteries.

We are so proud of our participanats! The entries were thoughtful, creative and our judges were super impressed!

Friday, Jan.7th we had a celebration with cookies & juice & giftcards for our 1st-3rd places!


Congratulations to our winners: Elena Portillo, Valerie Zarate, Chloe Bollier, Alejandro Gonzalez, Alani Alvarado and Kiy'len Palmer!

Suicide Prevention Awareness

VOLUNTEERS! We want YOU!

Sherman ISD requires background checks for volunteers and other purposes. If you plan to volunteer or have been instructed to submit a background check, please review the following:

  • Completion of this form is required once each year.
  • Background checks are cleared at the end of the school year by the last week of June.
  • New background checks can be submitted for a new school year starting in July.
  • Use your legal name as it appears on your driver's license or other official ID.
  • This form requires either a Social Security Number or Visa Number in order to complete the application.
  • Background results may take 3-5 business days to complete.

Who Are We? Bearcats!

Sherman Middle School serves 6th, 7th & 8th grade students with a wide variety of activities and opportunities where they can explore their full potential as young Bearcats both on campus and in the community. The campus provides a supportive school atmosphere that focuses on the development of well-rounded students by meeting the social and emotional needs of all students. All students are encouraged to be involved in both academics and extra-curricular activities and the campus encourages parents to become active educational partners to ensure success for all students.
