Welcome!!!
Here we will discuss the 3 main facts of water use. Water usage, Water distrabution, Water conservation.
Water Usage By:Harrison Pak
How do we use water? Well we use water in many ways, by taking 5 minute shower you can save up to one thousand gallons per year. When taking a bath it takes 70 gallons of water. Much more than a shower. Using the bathrooms are the largest consumer of water in a regular household. 26.7% of the water your household consume, so limit the amout of toliet usage per day. People uses 80 to 100 gallons of water per day and every family uses 300 to 400 per day. So try to conserve the water your sprinkler usage and how often you take showers.
Water Distribution By: Britney Arcos
The Water distribution on Earth shows that most water in the Earth's atmosphere and crust comes from the world's 6oceans saline seawater, while fresh water accounts for only 2.5% of the total. We should be able to reduce water while we are brushing our teeth and taking a shower. There are also even larger deposits of water dissolved In earth's mantle, which are well understood. As a result, the vast bulk of the water on earth is regarded as saline or salt water, with an average salinity of 35% or 3.5% roughly equivalent to 34 grams of salts in 1kg of seawater also usable water comes from rivers and lakes.
Water Conservation: Sara Al-Subhi
Conserving water can also extend the life of your septic system by reducing soil saturation, and reducing any pollution due to leaks. Overloading municipal sewer systems can also cause untreated sewage to flow to lakes and rivers. The smaller the amount of water flowing through these systems, the lower the likelihood of pollution. In some communities, costly sewage system expansion has been avoided by communitywide household water conservation.
Try to avoid watering your plants everyday, bring them inside and water them every other day. Takes showers insetead of bathes. More water is used in a 10 minute bath than a 5 minute shower. Wait until it rains so you can wash your car instead of using a car wash. Turn off your fountains, they takes lots of water and energy. Put food coloring in the bowl of your toliet, you can check if there are any leaks and you may save lots of water. In conclusion, there are more than 5 ways to save water.
