Army JROTC Wolf Battalion Hosting Car Wash
“The Army JROTC Wolf Battalion is hosting a car wash (Donations Only) Saturday from 8:30AM to 3:30PM at Spring Creek Car Wash (3800 Spring Creek Parkway) next door to the Wal-Mart at intersection of Spring Creek and Coit). Bring your dirty car for an exterior washing and support your fellow students fundraising efforts for the school year. Credit/debit cards accepted via square application.”
PSAT on Wednesday, October 19th
Juniors taking the PSAT should report to their test rooms by 8:45 a.m. Room assignments will be posted in the A Building Foyer on Monday, October 17. Please review this checklist to be well-prepared on test day.
PSAT Test Day Checklist
There are only a few things you really need to bring on test day and a lot of things you’ll be better off leaving at home.
What to Bring
· Two No. 2 pencils with erasers
· An approved calculator (see p. 24 of the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide you received in English class In September)
· Photo ID (School ID or Driver’s License)
What Not to Bring
· Any devices, including smart watches, that can be used to record, transmit, receive or play back audio, photographic, text, or video content
· Protractors, compasses, rulers
· Highlighters, colored pens, colored pencils
· Pamphlets or papers of any kind
· Dictionaries or other books — there are no exceptions, even if English is not your first language
· Food and drinks — including bottled water
During the Test
You will be allowed to have only these items on your desk:
· A test book
· An answer sheet
· No. 2 pencils with erasers
· An approved calculator — during one of the math sections only
Turn Off All Electronic Devices
You’ll need to turn off all electronic devices during the test and even during breaks. This includes cellphones and smart watches. Be sure to turn off your watch alarm, if you have one.
Why? Test centers are serious about security and quiet, so prohibited devices — which include cellphones, tablets, and MP3 players — must be turned off and put away in your bag or backpack. Better yet: Leave them at home.

Semester Grade Calculation Formula
Parents and students, please be advised that the calculation formula for semester grades has changed as the district moved to a nine week grading system. The new formula is: 1st nine weeks = 40%, 2nd nine weeks = 40%, semester exam = 20%. Keep this in mind, as the nine week grades count more heavily toward the student’s semester average than in prior years.
Updated Rank and GPA
