The III APABAL Convention
BC Palma working on CPD
Friday 20th March
Many of us had the opportunity to attend the III APABAL Convention held at the Escola d'hosteleria at the UIB this week.
It was a great chance to catch up on some new trends in teaching and hear from some 'interesting' people in the teaching industry. One of our favourites was Jamie Keddie, talking about 'Video Cameras in the hands of learners', then we had 'Cloud Number Nine' by Nora Tartsay. In the afternoon sessions we had our very own boss, Michael, give a talk on 'Steps towards differentiated learning'.
In Room One for the first session

Some freebies
Snacking and Chatting
We had a look round the different stands and were lucky to come away with some 'freebies' as well as getting a free 'merienda' of smoked salmon canapes, mini-baguetttes, and doughnuts with coffee and fruit juice. Our chat over coffee was excited and full of what we are plannning to try out over the next term!
So a big 'thank-you' to the BC and Michael for making the day possible.
