Academic Career Planning

Academic and Career Planning is in full force this month! Our big idea this month is professionalism. We are focused on how to dress, speak, present yourself, and complete job applications. Specifically, each grade level is working on a different aspect of the world outside our brick walls.

9th- Focus is on understanding how to complete job applications and writing thank you notes.

10th- Focus is on ACT prep, completing job applications, and starting group job shadows with local businesses.

11th- ACT prep and establishing locations for individual job shadows.

12th- Focus is on job interview skills and having "Adulting 101" Speakers in areas like voting, etiquette, and finance.

Business Management

Students in business management class are putting their learning into practice as they work as a team to show the different functions of management (organizing, directing, controlling, etc.) as they build floor to ceiling towers out of various materials. Of course a little competition was added as they had to create these towers in the most efficient way possible.

Dressed For Success

Friday, November 15th was FBLA's Dress for Success Day. FBLA members were encouraged to dress in proper business attire. Congrats to Thomas Mineau and Dylan Marose for winning Kwik Trip gift cards and setting the standards high for professional appearances. Way to go boys!
