Canada in 2035
Will Canada be the greatest country to live in 2035?
First Nations, Inuit and Metis.
Changing Populations
With 35.16 million residents, Canada has a fairly high and and stable population. But Canada's population is constantly changing and altering. Approximately 250, 000 immigrants come to Canada every year. Canada is a great country, with many benefits. Such as free health care. Free health care is not common in countries. with the exception of higher taxes, Canada's healthcare is reliable. We have trained doctors and specialists to aid our system. Another welfare for Canada is the education here. Canada has one of best education systems in the world.
Economic immigrants such as entrepreneurs or skilled workers come to Canada more often than family class immigrants because they are more encouraged to come. Economic immigrants are more encouraged to come because they get a education here and they find a job easier than family class immigrants. Canada also welcomes refugees from other countries. Also most immigrants that come to Canada are from Asia and Europe.
Interactions in the physical environment
Canada has seven land form regions; The Canadian shield, Innuitian Mountains, Arctic lowlands, Hudson Bay lowlands, Cordileran region, Interior Plains, St.Lawrence lowlands and the Appalachian region. The Intuition mountains are extremely cold, they are located in the northern parts of Canada, near Nunavut. The Innuitian mountains are made up of different rocks such as igneous and sedimentary. They provide many resources such as coal, and are very helpful to growing Canada's economy,
The Canadian Shield; which covers 4.8 million square kilometers of Canada, is the largest region out all the land form regions. It is in a formation of a 'U' shape, and it also covers more than half of Canada. The Canadian Shield also contains a lot of rare minerals such as gold and nickel. It also contains some of the oldest rocks in Canada. Since the Canadian Shield travels through many provinces the weather is constantly changing, and is different in each province.
The Cordileran region is located on the western side of Canada. With British Columbia, Yukon, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories. The region contains a lot of forestry and, like the Canadian Shield, many valuable minerals.
All the regions depend on where they are. North, West, East or South, With that it depends on the climate and vegetation, and every region is unique in its own way.
Managing Canada's Resources and Industries
Canada uses the ‘trade method’ a lot which is basically, one chain of industries communicating with each other. An example is McDonalds. Their company is everywhere, and they could communicate through industries. Canada also uses the internet to communicate through other countries or etc… The World Wide Web can go through any country in seconds. This helps with making orders, communicating with others. It is also very efficient and easy.
Making Canada’s resources sustainable will be tricky. We do not use a lot of renewable sources in our community. But we cannot use so much in one time either, In order for us to make our resources more sustainable and last longer here are some ideas.
-Do not mine all our resources at one time, consume them slowly
-Use different types of energy such as wind and solar
-Only mine or get as much as we need
-reuse, recycle, reduce.
Livable Communities
Canada is facing issues of being more sustainable and meeting people’s needs. Some areas like downtown Mississauga are much polluted, contributed to the buildings everywhere. But if we and the government contribute to making the country or city sustainable, then Canada will become a better place. Being sustainable means making our country greener, and we can do that by doing some of these things
· Placing recycling cans in some more unsustainable cities.
· -Placing recycling cans in some more unsustainable cities
· - A compost
· -Biking more often
· -Solar power
· - Reducing plastic in items
Urban sprawl is happening in places like Mississauga, Toronto and so on. Basically the suburbs. But urban sprawl is taking over the farmland and vacant land that we need for vegetation and crops. Soon enough there will not be enough farmland and forests. Urban sprawl is really bad for our environment. In a way it will affect us soon enough. My solution is to take urban sprawl slowly. Don’t rush it, it will destroy the environment, along the way you could create for farm land and plant more trees. If urban sprawl is happening really slow, it might stop all together soon enough.
