Greetings,
Spring is finally here… or maybe it is summer? It was so fun to see many of you last Friday for the movie morning. It warmed my heart to see how excited the students were to see each other and their teachers. This is a special group of children. Thank you for sharing them with us!
School-owned iPads: As we look ahead to summer, you may wonder about your student’s school-owned iPad. Students will once again be able to keep their school-issued iPad at home and return with it for the 2022-2023 school year. If you prefer the school keep the iPad over the summer or you are not returning next year, you’ll be able to turn in the iPad to the District Services Center. See more information in today’s newsletter.
Information Sessions for SLP Schools Online K-6 for 2022-2023: The SLP Schools Online experience for K-6 will be quite different next year. Please join me to learn more about the design for next year with special consideration to what will look and feel different from this year’s experience. Mark your calendar for one of the following WebEx sessions to learn more (we’ll share links closer to the date):
- Thursday, May 19 (9 a.m.-10)
- Thursday, May 19 (1 p.m.-2)
- Tuesday, May 24 (5:30 p.m.-6:30)
Ask your student how things are going and please reach out to learning advocates as needed. Supporting student learning these final weeks is our primary goal. If there is anything I can help with reach out to me at 763-600-5057 or kfehri@district16.org.
Have a wonderful week,

Plans for iPads this summer
This summer, Spring Lake Park Schools' families with students in grades K-11 will once again be able to keep their school-issued iPad at home and return with it for the 2022-2023 school year. If you prefer the school keep the iPad over the summer, you will be able to turn it into the main office.
Seniors and families who are leaving the Spring Lake Park Schools district after this school year need to turn in their school-issued iPad, case and charger.
Seniors will return their iPad, case and official Apple charger to the high school on Thursday, June 9 during their rehearsal for graduation.
Students who will not be enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year can turn in their iPad, case and charger to:
their home school office, or
to the District Services Center at 1415 81st Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432.
If family plans change over the summer months, we ask families to call the District Services Center, 763-600-5000. Need Tech Support? Contact the Technology Department at techsupport@district16.org or 763-600-5555.
Outstanding School Fees: How to pay through Campus Parent Portal
As we near the end of the 2021-2022 school year, we ask that families pay any outstanding fees they may have acquired throughout the school year. Fees could range from technology to library books and music fees.
To check if your family has any outstanding fees and to pay for the fees, login to Campus Parent Portal and click on "Fees" located in the left-hand black column. We ask that families pay these fees by June 30, 2022.
