Congratulations, Chyanne!
The theme of the conference this year was "Champions at Work". Chyanne focused her pin design on the honey bee, our state insect. Chyanne said, "The honey bee is the hardest worker out there. I wanted to bring awareness to the colony collapse disorder affecting honey bee colonies."
As part of the competition, Chyanne displayed her design, explained to judges how she came up with the idea and why she chose it.
SkillsUSA is a new club this year at Muskego Lakes. There are many competitions students can choose from depending on your interests. Chyanne plans to continue her work with SkillsUSA next year and is hoping to see many of her Muskego Lakes classmates join as well.
Early this week, Chyanne received exciting news that she will be representing the State of Wisconsin with her pin design at Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky! Thank you for representing Muskego Lakes and good luck!

Teacher Appreciation Week
Warriors 101
Attention 8th grade families,
To help 8th grade students transition to the high school, MHS is running a program called Warriors 101. The purpose of the program is for incoming freshmen to meet upperclassmen, run through their class schedule/meet their teachers, tour the building, bond with peers, and learn about co-curricular opportunities at the high school. Check out the VIDEO to see if it may be something your child would be interested in attending. The program will be held on Wednesday, August 28th from 8am-12pm.
Please click HERE to sign up for the program.
Thank you for your support. We found last year's program to be a great success, and we have been working throughout this year to make further improvements. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Julia Hartig, Katie Van Ruden, Becca Hirtz, Kim Aide, or Erin Bittner
