The Fundamental 5: The Power Zone

Power Zone

An effective teacher spend at least 70% of instructional time in the "Power Zone". In the above video, it talks about the importance of teaching in the Power Zone. Do you know where the power zone is in your classroom?

Reflective question:

  • How much time do you spend in the "teacher work area"?
  • How much time do you spend in the "lecture position"?

Remember, "Power Zone" is where the action is and where learning is taking place.
