Congratulations for your success with TAC attendance this week! I'm attaching the link to the training videos if you need to review them.
Click on the ELEMENTARY link on the left side of the webpage to access the videos.
Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade: ACTION REQUIRED!
You did not receive the training for documentation of classroom issues due to the technical difficulties experienced during the training at the beggining of the year. Please scroll down to the TIER I and INTERVENTION sectioon and view the training videos as a team or individually. This is important information for you to know. Discipline referrals will be submitted via this process.
3rd, 4th and 5th grade had this training in the original session at beggining of the year but you may want to review.
We have not yet done the Tier II training. We will do that at a later date.

TEACHING AND LEARNING
ELEMENTARY MATH
Submitted by Brian Stockus, Elementary Lead Specialist
The elementary math Job Alike sessions on Wednesday were a great success! Here are some specific notes we want to share with you about account support and making copies of student pages. We look forward to supporting the teachers this school year with the new TEKS and curriculum materials.
ELEMENTARY LANGUAGE ARTS
Submitted by Donna Trigg, Elementary Lead Specialist
We have added a section on the ARRC Elementary Arts Contact Page titled
UPDATES. This is a great place to find updated info for Elementary LA curriculum
and BAS/SEL/EDL, such as:
We will begin using the STAAR Rubrics for CBA writing prompts for grades 3-5, starting 2014-2015. Teachers will report a score of 1-4. Training and calibration in the district will take place for 3rd and 4th grade teachers (once in the Fall and once in the Spring).
Grades 3-4 will use the 4th Grade STAAR Rubrics and 5th grade will use the 7th grade
STAAR Rubrics. Teachers will also have guidance on using 6 traits to dig deeper for
instruction. Rubrics can be found on the Elementary LA ARRC STAAR tab. Please watch for further guidance and information.
