In gaming today, branching narratives and player agency are all the rage. But creating a branching narrative with hundreds of outcomes and endings is no easy feat - and our data suggests it may not even be worth it.
So let's break down just what does matter with choice in narrative games, and discuss how you can design and write branches into your game efficiently. We'll use examples from some of the top narrative games on the market (Episode, TellTale, and 80 Days) and include data from all our stories too!
