Title: Honoring Veterans Day at Ebon C. Hill Intermediate: A Week of Reflection and Respect
This year, Veterans Day coincided with a Saturday, but that didn't stop us at Ebon C. Hill from commemorating this significant day with heartfelt dedication. We took a week to ensure our students not only recognized but truly understood the profound significance of Veterans Day.
In the heart of our school, the library, a poignant and symbolic White Table Ceremony took place. This solemn event allowed us to pay tribute to the brave individuals who have served our country, reminding our students of the sacrifices made for the freedom we cherish.
Throughout the week, our dedicated library aide (Bessie Ward) engaged students from every grade level in a literary journey. A series of carefully chosen books illuminated the meaning and importance of Veterans Day, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation among our students.
The White Table Ceremony and insightful readings served as a reminder that gratitude and respect for our veterans transcend any specific day, resonating in our hearts every day.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this week of reflection and respect a memorable and impactful experience for our students.
