Principal's Message
December 2017
Our family Art Night was terrific. We are lucky to have such great teachers
working with the students at Lakeview. I appreciate the families that came
and the teachers and staff that helped organize the event. Our PTA is
working hard to involve more parents. Please consider what you can do and
realize we do need your help. I feel so fortunate that I work in a place where
I get to watch and listen to the songs that celebrate our country and the
holidays of the year. I do occasionally take for granted how enjoyable it is to
be around the boys and girls and see their enthusiasm towards things. I
especially enjoy the sounds that flow through the halls here at school as
classes learn and practice Christmas songs. I really like this quote by
Norman Vincent Peale, “Nothing during the year is so impressively
convincing as the vision Christmas brings of what the world would be if love
became the daily practice of human beings.” It seems like we are all more
inclined to think of others at this time of year. I hope as we continue to focus
on academic and student “cognitive growth” we will also remember the
importance of living the Golden Rule and helping build the skills that will
assure our students are contributing citizens in the future. I hope everyone
has a terrific holiday season.

After a day or two those items are moved into the larger racks. Please encourage your children to look the day of the items being lost, before they are moved into the small room.
