Dear Families

First Holy Communion

Congratulations to the students who received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion recently. The students were reverent, respectful and extremely well prepared by our teachers and catechists. Thanks also to Fr Jean-Noel for his help and support, both prior and during the Masses. His homily over the three Masses was inspirational, sharing his First Holy Communion story. Thank you to all staff members for their assistance at the Masses and their input into the children’s faith journey over the years.

School Tours

We will be offering School Tours to prospective families who wish to enrol their children at St Emilie's on Thursday 15th September. If you know any families who would be interested in this, please see below for more information and share the QR code to book via Eventbrite.

Choir & Dance Troupe

Congratulation to our Choir and Dance Troupe who performed this week. The hard work and effort they have put into their rehearsals and ultimately their performances have made us all proud. Thank you to all the staff involved for their tireless efforts and for giving up their own time to prepare the students and allowing them this opportunity and experience.

Book Week Incursions & Dress-Up Day

On Tuesday 30th August our PP to Yr 6 students will be entertained by Perform Education with an interactive and educational musical adventure incursion called Story Quest. "Marley wakes up full of excitement and expectation. She’s been dreaming that she has written the most marvellous story and now she’s awake it’s time to set about making it happen." The whole school Book Week dress-up day will also be on this day for Kindy to Year 6 students.

Family Breakfast & VIP Experience at House Athletics Carnival

The family breakfast will be held next Friday 2nd September at school. We are looking forward to seeing our families gather for this amazing community event. Thank you to the staff and our wonderful P & F for their hard work in preparing for this event.

OSH Bake Sale

A huge thank you to our school community for the overwhelming support of the OSH Club Bake Sale fundraiser. They raised over $2000 to go toward the Red Nose Day appeal, congratulations to all involved.

Positive COVID Cases

If your child tests positive to COVID, please ensure that you enter the result on the CEWA portal and also on the Health Department.

When an individual receives a COVID-19 positive result, the individual is deemed by WA Health unlikely to suffer from re-infection for a period of 4 weeks. Therefore, further Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) testing when subsequently unwell is not required during this time, as a COVID-19 positive result may be returned throughout this period while the initial virus is being shed.

However, where a person is unwell within their 4-week period and are showing symptoms of COVID-19, WA Health reiterate that the impacted person should remain home until symptoms subside, particularly where symptoms are respiratory in nature (e.g. productive cough).

All unwell COVID-19 symptomatic students should remain home and refrain from coming to school.
