McKenzie Monitor
August 18, 2017
Welcome Back 2017
Greetings McKenzie Families!
To keep you informed throughout the year, I will be sharing McKenzie Monitor emails; these are weekly informational newsletters sent to all McKenzie families. It is important you keep your contact information in PowerSchool current in order to receive these updates.
This message and all others will follow a standard format; I will open with a brief message and then I will post new items that denote whether it is new news or a reminder. Some reminders will stay up for nearly a semester while others will only be posted one time. In any event, I will always let you know when something is being posted for the final time (you can also view archived editions in the link at the bottom of the page). I will also attached pertinent flyers and/or information from the our school/district/PTA throughout my messages so you don't need to hunt for them.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Rachel

Safe Routes to School
The D39 Village Wide PTA Safety & Civics committee produced a fun video to ask kids and their parents/caregivers to respect the safety rules and guidelines around the schools. Over the course of the last 3 to 4 years Wilmette Police officers, cross-guards, bus drivers, PTA representatives gathered stories of incidents that happened at their school. With input from parents, and kids of all ages this video was created to communicate the most important safety guidelines that put everyone's well being at risk.
