Lincoln, Logan, & McPherson 4-H
January #1 2023
A Note from Miss Caitlyn
Dear Lincoln, Logan & McPherson County 4-H Families,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Exciting things are already happening in 2023.
- State Fair updates: the Nebraska state fair has made updates for age eligibility and livestock nomination requirements. Please see below for more information.
- Farrowed and Owned Swine cohort: registrations for the 2023 Farrowed & Owned Swine cohort are due Wednesday, February 1. Learn more and register at https://4h.unl.edu/farrowed-owned
- February is 4-H month. Mark your calendars and make plans to celebrate! See below for information.
We love hearing about all the positive and impactful contributions clubs & 4-Hers are making in our community (in and out of 4-H!). Caroling for cans, donations to the Connection homeless shelter, and so much more. The New Year brings opportunity to try something new and make a difference. 4-H is a platform and space for a world in which youth and adults learn, grow, and work together as catalysts for positive change. That is the 4-H vision.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns,
Miss Caitlyn

4-H Goats
We have a family that is needing to re-home a few goats. They have been given a lot of attention and a lot of petting, but are not halter broke. Great 4-H project for someone. The black buck is almost 2 years old and is a Nigerian Dwarf fainter cross. The Does are part Pygmy/Boer and are around 9 months old. If you are interested call Katie at (719) 459-2335.
