I Have A Dream
Martin Luther King
What really happened with the extraordinary Martin Luther King?
He was the man that concluded America and the World's racism issues. His name was Martin Luther King. This wonderful man was born in 1929 Southern America, Geogia. But he himself was living with the awful rules for coloured people. Coloured people couldn't eat in the same restaurant as white people, couldn't sit at the front seats of the bus, and couldn't even go to the same schools or work at the same place as white people. Yes, many wanted to end the racism, Rosa Park was a lady that was arrested for protesting, there were countless amounts of non violent protests and even Martin Luther King was arrested! But he didn't give up. He, in his world wide known speech made 50 years ago, 'I have a dream' he claimed that people shouldn't be judged by the colour of their skin or their culture but their personal qualities and personalities. King married Coretta Scott, on June 18, 1953, ten years before his ' I Have A Dream' speech. They became the parents of four children: Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter King, and Bernice King. Unfortunately, at the age of 39, he was shot dead in Memphis, Tennessee, America before preparing for another speech. He died before seeing the result of his speech and what wonderful effects it had on America's people and the world. He was one of the America's most influential civil rights activists but without deliberately doing so, he impacted on the entire world. Not only Martin, abundant amounts of determined civil right activists have sacrifised many of their things to make our world what it is today.
