Principal’s Message
A few changes to the school calendar were announced yesterday. There will be no school for students on Monday, March 1 due to staff receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday, February 28 and the potential of a physical reaction to the vaccine. The day will be counted as an emergency day and will be made up at the end of the school year. Friday, June 11 will now be the last day of school.
Additionally, another calendar change will occur on Thursday, March 18. It is scheduled as an early release day. We are changing March 18 to a remote learning planning day for staff which means that students will have no school on March 18 and March 19. Parent-teacher conferences will occur from 3:15-8:00 p.m. on March 18, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m on March 19.

Equity Audit: We need your voice!
North Shore School District 112 is in the process of conducting a district-wide Equity and Inclusion Audit in partnership with Public Consulting Group (PCG). An essential component of the audit process is hearing from multiple voices from across the district.
Your participation is needed as we work towards identifying and addressing practices, policies, and culture that contribute to inequities across our district. We are committed to doing the work to build spaces where staff, learners, and families are each valued, included, and supported for success.
Focus Groups will be held beginning February 22-26. Each focus group will be conducted virtually by PCG and will last approximately an hour. There will be separate focus groups for families, students, staff, board of education members, and administrators.
