St. Columba Catholic School - News every Friday - 11/13/20

St. Columba Families,

It definitely felt like Fall this week! With cool crisp mornings and beautiful days, it was a great week of learning! Our 8th graders sweatshirts are coming in handy with these cooler days. It is also great to see the new fleece sweaters and rain jackets making their way out as well! They look great!

This week, even though it was shortened, was a wonderful week. The highlight of the week was our 5th graders leading our Virtual Veteran's Day Assembly. If you did not have the chance to see it, please feel free to watch a recording HERE. Our 5th graders did a great job leading our community through reflection and prayer and reminded us that we are blessed because of the sacrifice and service of our veterans! Thank you to all of those who have served and are currently serving our great country!

Our Car Raffle has launched! So far, we have sold 71 tickets! To reach our $80,000 goal, we have only 3,927 more to go! To purchase tickets, head over to our Virtual Raffle Landing Page to support our school. So far, 4th grade is leading with 19 total tickets sold. Be on the lookout next week for some information about a special Thanksgiving Holiday Break competition.

We have a nice, normal week ahead of us before we head into our Thanksgiving break. On Friday, we will have a half day for the whole school and we will not be providing after school day care. This will allow all of our teachers and staff to get off campus and start their well deserved break!
