The Shirley Heim Advanced Band will be performing 3/26 at the Fine Arts Festival at 1pm at Brooke Point in the Auditorium

The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank offers a Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry. The Pantry visits Shirley Heim Middle School on the 2nd Monday of each month from 10AM-11AM. The Pantry visits Widewater Elementary School on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10AM-11AM. The dates are below:

Several Stafford County Middle School Coaches--including Shirley Heim's own Football and Wrestling coaches, Eric Santhuff and Mark Lacy--will be biking up to 200 miles in order to raise money in support of the National MS Society. Bike MS is a fundraising ride that changes the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease. But Bike MS is going to fund cutting-edge MS research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives. If you would like to support their ambitious goal please go to mssociety.donordrive.com and search for "Stafford Coaches for a Cause."

By now, All 6th and 7th grade students have received their Rising 7th and 8th Grade elective course forms for next year. The 6th graders forms for next year are on GREEN paper, and the 7th graders forms for next year are on ORANGE paper. All students MUST pick 10 electives and they MUST have a parent sign the bottom of the form. Please be sure you help your child request 10 electives and sign the bottom of the form so we know you approve of their requests. If you have any questions, please contact either Mrs. GIbson or Miss Fitzsimmons in the Heim Counseling Department.

6th grade science students have started studying about day and night, and Earth's seasons. We've played with globe beach balls and flashlights to help our understanding. Ask your science student why it's all about the TILT!

The Timberwolves Wrestling Team competed in the Stafford County Championship Tournament on Sat, 4 March. Overall the team placed 4th in the county with over half of the team placing in the top 4. Brennan Simpson, Kayden Gonzalez, Bennett Oppong and Aiden Allen came in 4th place in their weight class. Joshua Johnson and Allie Bangura came in 3rd in their weight class. Yadiel Marte-Rodney, Nazar Havrylin, and Adrian Guerra came in 2nd in their weight class. Congratulations to all the wrestlers on a great season!

Track tryouts will now begin on March 20th. Please be sure to have your VHSL physical on file through a PE teacher. The track meets as originally planned are scheduled to change. Please see Coach Smith or Coach Piston if you have any questions.

Take care of your Chromebook on spring break.

• Don't leave it where a sibling can get to it.
• Do not place items on on top of the Chromebook.
• Keep food and liquids away from the Chromebook.
• Do not press the power button to turn off your Chromebook. Just close the lid.
• Keep your charger with your Chromebook at all times so you don't accidently loose it.
• If something goes wrong with your Chromebook while on Spring Break, Tech Support will be unavailable.

We are hosting a Family Movie Night here at Shirley Heim on March 24th. Movie Night will be open to all grades for an entry cost of $3 presale / $5 ticket per family at the door. Drinks and popcorn available for purchase.

Our Spring Festival will be April 1st from 12:00- 3:00 p.m. Come join in on the spring fun and spend some time with our Shirley Heim community.

Mark your calendars! Our Spirit Event is scheduled for April 6th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sky Zone in Fredericksburg.

Our next PTO meeting will be on Wednesday, April 19 at 7pm at Shirley Heim Middle School.
