Best Plays of the Week

Final Edition for 2015

Coach's Corner

2015 is drawing to a close. I think it is awesome that the year ends with this season of giving. Between bicycles from CYCLE Houston and and the gifts for our "angels" many of us have been brought to tears!! The generosity and selfless giving in a time of craziness...PRICELESS! I've said it before and I will say it a thousand more times-our students deserve it all! It has been so busy, but such a blessing to be part of making so many boys and girls (and parents) happy. It is so easy to get caught up in all the chaos of shopping and meeting deadlines that we often times forget to stop and enjoy the season. Below are a few highlights of the season at Best.

Enjoy your time off. Reflect, relax, and recharge! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays to everyone! We will be back in 2016 in FULL FORCE!

BYOD for January 4th!

If you have a personal laptop that you can bring to work with for part of our PD time on January 4th, please bring it! We will have our laptops and some Surface tablets, but we would love to be 1:1. That way each teacher can look at the data for his/her own class. So, if you have a laptop, please bring it on the 4th for our staff development day! I will send out a Remind101 message on Sunday the 3rd reminding you to pack it for the 4th. Thanks for your help!

Mary Kay Gift Bag

Please remember to buy a ticket to be entered in the drawing for the travel bag of Mary Kay cosmetics! Tickets are $3.oo each and can be purchased from the front office. The winner will be announced at dismissal time tomorrow. This would make a GREAT gift for a family member, friend, or neighbor. Proceeds benefit the hospitality account!!

Classroom Visits

Just a reminder that parents must be escorted by an administrator to visit a classroom. Teachers please do not call a parent and ask them to "pop by". If they would like to come, we are happy to have them, but these visits must be scheduled ahead of time to ensure availability of our team.

Saying Goodbye

Sad to report that Cassie Noble and Shirona Lee will not be returning to Best for the spring semester. We have enjoyed having you on the 4th grade team. Wishing them both the best of luck. You will both be missed!

Energy Management

Reminder to TURN OFF computers, monitors, sound bars, Elmos, etc. You can even UNPLUG things, just not your computers. Updates are often pushed over the holidays and you don't want to miss those.

Refrigerator Items

Make sure to remove all of your personal items out of the refrigerator by the end of the day tomorrow. Any items left will be disposed of over the holidays.
