News from PAC (Parent Advisory Council)
Annual General Meeting
Our annual general meeting(and first meeting of the year) is being held on Monday, Sept 9th @ 6:00pm in the school library. Our Parent Advisory Council works hard to enhance our children's educational experience however we cannot do it with out your help. Many of the yearly activities will not be possible unless we can get more parents involved. Please consider joining us at the meeting on Monday to find out more and where you could possible help! Thank you!
WE ARE GETTING A NEW PLAYGROUND and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Strathcona County has a replacement schedule for playgrounds and the current wooden play structure will be replaced during the summer of 20121!! As a community we have the unique opportunity to have input into the design features and set-up of the new playground! We also have the opportunity to work with the County in raising funds of up to $20,000 to be matched by grants to add to the new play structure!!
We are in need of parents to participate on a committee to supply input on playground design and look into grant options and fundraising. If you are willing to be part of the committee, we would love to hear from you! This is an EXCELLENT way to get involved in the school and have a lasting impact on our community! If you are willing to help out please contact Shawna Molnar(PAC president)at or please call the school at 780-467-3633 to express your interest in helping with this important project!
