Kind Like Joey Day - 10/20 (Thursday)

This Thursday, Butler will be honoring Joey Edwards, former Butler Bear who was dedicated to showing kindness to others. For those new to our community, Joey passed away in an accident when he was a student at Unami Middle School - but his legacy is an example for all to embrace! Each year, the Butler Community honors and supports the Kind Like Joey Foundation by wearing black and gold on a dedicated day. This Thursday, October 20th, please have your child wear Kind Like Joey gear or colors (Black and Gold)!

School Happenings

Butler 6th Grade Attends Ropes Course Trip

One of the most exciting "rites of passage" as 6th Grade students is attending the Ropes Field Trip. On October 13 & 14th, our students and staff navigated the many obstacles and challenges presented at Elbow Lane Low and High Ropes. The challenge for every student was to reach their limit and go "one step further." Students understood the importance of being present, listening carefully, and trying their best - and for all of them - it was done to great success! Thank you to Stecher & Associates and Elbow Lane Camp - it was an incredible two days of teamwork and togetherness.

Fire Prevention Awareness

Butler primary grades had the pleasure of hosting the Chalfont Fire Department for a Fire Safety Assembly on Friday the 14th. Members from the local company reviewed safety measures and provided students with a tour of one of their fire trucks! Students learned what to do in case of an emergency - whether at home or in school! Thank you to Chalfont Fire Department for their role in keeping our students at their Butler Best!

Extended Day Kindergarten Open House - 10/10

The Open House for parents was an opportunity for the class parents to spend some time in the new classroom where the teaching team reviewed the timeline of instruction and opportunity for deeper understanding. We look forward and are so thankful working with some of our youngest learners.
